Water Resources Management
The Company is an IC design company that does not have a production line. Its primary source of greenhouse gas emissions is from the electricity and water used for air-conditioning and office lighting. To reduce emissions, the Company plans to turn off a portion of the lighting and air-conditioning at night, set the temperature of the air-conditioning, control the on-off time, promote turning off lights, save water, implement policies such as paperless electronic signature operations, and set five-year reduction goals in the management strategy. The Company aims to achieve the goal of an average growth rate of greenhouse gas emissions not exceeding 5% in 2026 to slow down its impact on climate change. It is expected to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions by 1% and water consumption by 1% in 2024.
The Company's water consumption has not passed external verification, and the usage statistics are being self-managed. The scope includes the Company's Hsinchu and Zhonghe offices. The water consumption statistics for the past two years are as follows:

Both greenhouse gas emissions and total water consumption increased in 2023 compared to 2022. This is due to the fact that the Hsinchu office is leased and must share common areas with the building. We will continue to observe and review in the future to achieve the reduction target.

Reduce the total amount of industrial waste; effectively and accurately classify, recycle, reuse, and properly dispose of waste. Carefully select waste disposal and recycling vendors, and periodically audit the legality of the waste removal process and take responsibility for waste management and supervision.

In terms of paper usage, we are developing paperless data archiving and continuing to implement electronic form approval processes to reduce the need for photocopying and printing. Starting from 2019, electronic invoices will be fully used to reduce the use of paper. The number of photocopies in 2023 is 66,459, a decrease of 1.2% from 78,303 in 2022.
